About The Position

The Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides excellent customer service and sells the store’s assortment in person and online. The primary focus is building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The role also provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. Beauty Advisors are welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keep the sales floor energetic, and put customers’ needs first.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cosmetics selling experience.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, seamless, and fun in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
• Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and becoming proficient with technology.
• Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
• Provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice.
• Maintain compelling merchandise presentation and provide product knowledge and outstanding service.
