About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge while building and maintaining client relationships. The role includes selling the full assortment in store and online, maintaining compelling merchandise presentation, and creating a welcoming, friendly, and engaging customer experience. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice, while keeping the sales floor energetic and putting customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds; the role may involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
