About The Position
Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and sell the store’s assortment both in person and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging atmosphere on the sales floor and prioritize customer needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Ability to use computers and other technology needed to perform job functions, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of standing and walking; the role may also involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
