About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and sell the full assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They are welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keep energy alive on the sales floor, and put customer needs first. The position creates a seamless and enjoyable in-store experience, drives sales with in-store and online clients through effective use of technology, and participates in merchandising and operational requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
