About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisors provide knowledgeable service and sell the full assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They create a welcoming and engaging sales-floor experience, keeping customer needs first, and contribute to merchandising and operational requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; the role may involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
