About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the store’s assortment both in-store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The position also involves keeping the sales floor welcoming, friendly, and engaging while prioritizing customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform prolonged standing and walking; the position may also involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
