About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor works on Bloomingdale’s cosmetics floor, providing excellent service and selling the full assortment in-store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The role calls for a welcoming, friendly, and engaged presence on the sales floor, with customer needs as the priority.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.

• Create an easy, seamless, and fun in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
• Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and using technology proficiently.
• Participate in merchandising and operational requirements.
