About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides excellent service and sells Bloomingdale’s assortment both in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. The advisor provides makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. The position calls for a welcoming, friendly, and engaged presence on the sales floor, with customer needs as the priority.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience is required.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to stand and walk around the store or department for prolonged periods.
May need to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and have color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
