About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisors provide excellent customer service and sell the full assortment of products in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They welcome and engage customers, maintain excitement on the sales floor, and prioritize customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous selling experience required, preferably in cosmetics.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and demonstrating proficiency with technology.
Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role.
