About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor at Bloomingdale’s provides outstanding customer service and product knowledge while building and maintaining client relationships. The role focuses on selling the full assortment in store and online, creating a welcoming and engaging sales-floor experience, and maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skincare consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They also use technology to support sales and participate in merchandising and operational requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; the position may involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
