Coordinator
About The Position
The Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team, and helping maintain an excellent customer experience. The role includes engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing merchandise onto the sales floor; trains and mentors Associates; monitors team productivity and coaches as needed; organizes back stock; and maintains merchandising, signage, backroom cleanliness, and recovery standards. The position communicates with the Coordinator on Duty, management, and Associates to coordinate priorities and provide progress updates. It also supports compliance, safety, shrink reduction, and credit and loyalty programs, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
