Coordinator Volunteer Engagement
About The Position
Volunteer Engagement Coordinators coordinate the day-to-day activities and responsibilities of the Volunteer Services Department. They stay engaged with volunteers throughout their service at Children’s of Alabama and work to ensure volunteers have a positive experience in the program. The role is in Volunteer and Guest Services at the Main Campus Lee Building. Volunteer and Guest Services aims to create a welcoming experience for visitors. Hospital volunteers help staff create an environment that eases the stress of patients and families during hospitalizations and clinic visits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience in a health care or social services field.
- Experience interacting with diverse groups of people.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with volunteer programs or social services organizations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities and responsibilities associated with the Volunteer Services Department.
- Remain engaged with volunteers throughout their time serving at Children’s of Alabama.
- Help ensure volunteers have a positive experience within the program.
