About The Position

The Coordinator of Sales assists salespeople with customer service activities. Responsibilities include creating estimates from salesperson-provided quotations, sourcing products needed to fulfill job requirements, responding promptly and efficiently to customer and vendor phone calls, and accurately invoicing materials. The role may also include store maintenance responsibilities assigned by the Store Manager.

The position is at 84 Lumber's Northwest Houston location. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, tentatively 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekends off. Pay for candidates with limited experience is $16 per hour plus overtime pay and monthly incentives; pay for candidates with direct lumber coordinator or inside sales experience is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Knowledge of invoicing systems.
• Knowledge of inventory systems.
• Experience or knowledge using word processing software.
• Experience or knowledge using spreadsheet and internet software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Professional phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to respond to common customer inquiries.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Input estimates into the POS system.
• Source materials.
• Provide customer service.
• Enter orders and prepare invoices.
• Handle accounts receivable.
• Take customer and vendor phone calls and respond promptly and efficiently.
• Perform store maintenance responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.
