About The Position

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Cookie Crew Member to help deliver a welcoming bakery experience and prepare accurate, high-quality orders. The role combines guest hospitality, baking and packaging treats, register operation, and maintaining a clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe bakery. Team Members work together in a fast-paced environment and help wherever needed to keep service moving and resolve guest concerns. The bakery environment includes frequent guest interaction, heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business, and availability during these peak hours is expected. Scheduling needs vary by location.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to obtain food safety certifications required for the location.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
Work in varying temperatures, including near ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Have availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and make their interactions memorable.
Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to company quality standards.
Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
Operate the register and process guest transactions.
Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout each shift.
Support the team by restocking supplies, helping teammates, and keeping the line moving.
Address guest concerns with empathy and urgency, involving the Shift Leader when needed.
Create a guest experience that encourages repeat visits.
Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
