About The Position

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Cookie Crew Member to help deliver a welcoming bakery experience and prepare fresh treats and orders. Team members welcome guests, bake and package cookies and other products, handle transactions, and keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe. The work takes place in a fast-paced bakery where team members support one another and help resolve guest concerns. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are regular parts of the business, and availability during peak hours is expected; scheduling needs vary by location.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any food safety certifications required for the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work around varying temperatures, including ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Ability to read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and make interactions memorable.
• Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to company quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout each shift.
• Support the team by restocking supplies, assisting teammates, and keeping service moving.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when needed.
• Create a guest experience that encourages repeat visits.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
