About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies’ Stephenville store, you serve guests at the front of the bakery while preparing and baking the company’s cookies and other treats. The role combines baking, hospitality, order preparation, and keeping the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe. Team members work together in a fast-paced environment, with peak business during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Availability during these peak hours is expected, though scheduling needs vary by location. The position requires applicants to be at least 18 years old, to be able to obtain any food safety certifications required for the location, and to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employment is contingent on successful completion of applicable pre-employment checks and requirements permitted by law.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to obtain any food safety certifications required for the location.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
Ability to work around varying temperatures, including ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Ability to read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and make interactions memorable.
Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia’s quality standards.
Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
Operate the register and process guest transactions.
Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout each shift.
Help the team as needed, including restocking supplies, assisting teammates, and keeping the line moving.
Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when needed.
Create a guest experience that encourages customers to return.
