About The Position

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Cookie Crew Member to help deliver a welcoming bakery experience and prepare high-quality baked treats and orders. The role combines guest hospitality, baking, order fulfillment, register operation, and bakery upkeep in a fast-paced environment. Shifts commonly take place during evenings and late nights, when the bakeries are especially busy, and require teamwork and flexibility to meet guest and business needs. The position involves standing and walking for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and lifting, and working around ovens, freezers, refrigeration, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday availability is regularly needed, with scheduling varying by location. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to obtain any food safety certifications applicable to their location, and be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Ability to use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including near ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Ability to read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and make their interactions memorable.
Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats according to Insomnia's quality standards.
Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
Operate the register and process guest transactions.
Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout each shift.
Support the team as needed, including restocking supplies, helping teammates, and keeping the line moving.
Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, involving the Shift Leader when needed.
Create a guest experience that encourages repeat visits.
