About The Position

As a member of the Cookie Crew at the Bleecker St. store at 283 Bleecker St., New York, NY 10014, you are a front-of-store point person who interacts with customers and bakes Insomnia Cookies products. The role includes helping customers place orders, preparing cookies and ice cream, packaging delivery orders, handling payments, and maintaining the bakery.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in a customer service-focused role is preferred.
Personable, genuine, and outgoing demeanor.
Customer-service focus and willingness to exceed guest expectations.
Strong communication, organizational, and math skills.
Ability to lift product boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure.
Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy.
Provide a warm customer experience in person and over the phone.
Bake cookies to perfection and prepare a scoop of ice cream.
Package delivery orders and send them out quickly, warm, and correctly.
Handle cash and payments accurately, avoiding shortages or overages.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain the bakery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
