About The Position

As a member of the Cookie Crew at Insomnia Cookies’ Bleecker St. store, you serve as a point person for customers at the front of the store and bake the company’s warm cookies. The role also involves preparing ice cream, handling and packaging orders, processing payments, and maintaining the bakery.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift product boxes weighing up to 40 lb.
• Personable, genuine, and outgoing demeanor.
• Customer-service focus and willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and math skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer-service-focused role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and take their orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items, answer questions, and repeat orders to confirm accuracy.
• Provide a warm experience to customers in person and over the phone.
• Bake cookies to perfection and scoop ice cream.
• Package delivery orders accurately and ensure they are sent out quickly and warm.
• Handle cash and payments accurately, avoiding shortages or overages.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain the bakery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
