About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you help create a welcoming bakery experience by serving guests, baking and packaging treats, preparing orders, and supporting the team. The bakery is fast-paced, particularly during evenings and late nights, and the role involves working collaboratively to deliver warm cookies and friendly, accurate service.

The position requires regular availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Team members work in a bakery environment with guest interaction, heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods and handling bakery equipment and food products. Hourly pay is $16.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain food safety certifications required for the location.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Work in varying temperatures, including near ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability during peak business hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide genuine, memorable hospitality.
• Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to company quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout each shift.
• Support the team as needed, including restocking supplies, assisting teammates, and keeping the line moving.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, involving the Shift Leader when needed.
• Create a positive guest experience that encourages repeat visits.
