About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you will be a key part of the bakery team, blending the roles of baker, hospitality expert, and late-night hero. You will be responsible for creating a positive experience for customers, whether by welcoming them into the bakery, preparing fresh treats, or packing delivery orders. The environment is fast-paced, especially during evenings and late nights, and every team member contributes to the success of each shift. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with others, thrive in energetic settings, and find satisfaction in making customers' days sweeter.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable.
Prepare, bake, and package warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards.
Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
Operate the register and process guest transactions.
Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift.
Assist teammates and help keep the line moving by restocking supplies or jumping in wherever needed.
Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when necessary.
Deliver an experience that turns first-time guests into lifelong Insomniacs.
Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure.
Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy.
Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person & over the phone.
Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out.
Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages.
Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery.
