About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you will be a blend of baker, hospitality expert, and late-night hero. Your role is crucial in creating the welcoming experience that keeps customers returning. The bakeries operate at a fast pace, especially during late hours, and every team member contributes to the success of each shift through their interactions, baking, and order fulfillment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with others, thrive in energetic settings, and find satisfaction in making people's days sweeter.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable.
• Prepare, bake, and package warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift.
• Assist teammates wherever needed, such as restocking supplies or helping to keep the line moving.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when necessary.
• Deliver an exceptional experience that fosters customer loyalty.
