About The Position
As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you will be a vital part of our bakery operations, blending the roles of a baker, hospitality expert, and late-night hero. You will be responsible for creating a positive experience for our customers, whether by welcoming them into the bakery, preparing delicious treats, or ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Our bakeries operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, especially during peak evening and late-night hours. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in energetic settings, and find satisfaction in making someone's day sweeter, this role is a great fit.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable.
- Prepare, bake, and package warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards.
- Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
- Operate the register and process guest transactions.
- Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift.
- Assist teammates and help maintain workflow efficiency.
- Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, escalating to a Shift Leader when necessary.
- Deliver an exceptional experience that fosters customer loyalty.
