About The Position

As a Cookie Crew Member at Insomnia Cookies, you will be a part of a dynamic team that is responsible for baking, preparing, and delivering delicious cookies and other treats. This role combines elements of baking, customer service, and efficient order fulfillment, especially during peak evening and late-night hours. You will contribute to creating a positive and memorable experience for customers, ensuring they return for more. The work environment is fast-paced, and every team member plays a crucial role in maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable.
• Prepare, bake, and package warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift.
• Assist teammates and help keep the line moving by restocking supplies or performing other necessary tasks.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with the Shift Leader when needed.
• Deliver an exceptional experience that fosters customer loyalty.
