About The Position

Brock & Company is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and serve foods in a private school setting. The Cook follows supervisor instructions for menu production, recipes, cooking techniques, and food presentation. The role includes preparing a range of dishes and supporting service operations while maintaining a clean, safe work area and providing courteous customer service. The position is full-time and benefits eligible, with a stated pay rate of $20.25 per hour. The role may also be asked to perform other duties as determined by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Comprehend verbal and written recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for preparing daily menus.
• Follow health and safety regulations concerning equipment use and personal hygiene.
• Be able to stand for extended periods.
• Be able to move objects weighing approximately 35 pounds to waist height.
• Adhere to client and company protocols for COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation.
• Have a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering items, and other foods as determined by the Chef Manager.
• Set up the station before service with the equipment and food specified by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
• Provide courteous customer service at all times.
• Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate, and stow deliveries.
• Perform other jobs as determined by the supervisor.
