About The Position
Brock & Company is a contract food management provider serving corporations and private and independent schools across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions. The Utility Associate maintains a clean and organized workstation and supports kitchen and dining-room operations. Duties include washing equipment and service ware, receiving and distributing deliveries, sanitation, trash removal, and floor maintenance. The associate is expected to provide courteous, helpful, and friendly customer service and follow client and company COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation protocols. The role requires standing for extended periods and lifting or moving food, containers, and other items from floor level to no higher than the employee’s own height.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move food, food containers, and other non-food items from floor level to no higher than the employee’s own height.
- Adhere to applicable health, safety, food-handling, and COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation protocols.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and maintain food production equipment and service ware according to supervisor direction and the cleaning schedule.
- Remove trash and waste as directed by the supervisor and take it to the designated location.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
- Receive, unpack, unwrap, rotate, and store deliveries in appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms according to supervisor instructions.
- Maintain an organized workstation and support sanitation of the kitchen and dining room, trash removal, and floor maintenance.
- Follow client and company protocols for COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner.
