About The Position

Brock & Company is seeking a full-time Cook for a private school. The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves food as determined by the supervisor, following instructions for menu production, recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation. The role includes preparing a range of items such as soups, sauces, salads, entrées, and catering. The Cook sets up the station before service, maintains a clean and safe work area, and provides courteous customer service. The position is benefits eligible and pays $20.25 per hour. Uniforms and meals are provided.

Requirements

Comprehend verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for preparing daily menus.
Follow health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Be able to move objects weighing approximately 35 pounds to waist height.
Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Have a positive “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

Produce, prepare, and cook soups, sauces, salads, entrées, catering, and other items determined by the Chef Manager.
Set up the station before service with the equipment and food specified by the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
Provide courteous customer service at all times.
Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate, and stow deliveries.
Perform other jobs as determined by the supervisor.
