About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a part-time Cook for Vitalia Solon in Solon, Ohio. The role prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served on time. The Cook follows health and sanitation protocols, learns residents’ preferences and needs, and participates in resident orientations. The position is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with pay of $18 to $25.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Must possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working near extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Must be able to work primarily indoors and be available to work outside for events.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Prepare menu items according to established standards and recipes.
Provide high-quality food that is attractively presented and served in a timely fashion.
Follow health protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures.
Become familiar with residents and their preferences and needs.
Participate in resident orientations.
