About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Cook at Vitalia Solon in Solon, Ohio. The position pays $18–$25.50 per hour and is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served in a timely manner. The role also requires following health and sanitation protocols, learning residents’ preferences and needs, and participating in resident orientations. The work is primarily indoors, with availability to work outside for events.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working near extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Prepare menu items according to established standards and recipes.
Provide high-quality food that is attractively presented and served in a timely manner.
Follow health protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures.
Become familiar with residents and their preferences and needs.
Participate in resident orientations.
Be available to work outside for events.
