About The Position

The Memory Care Homemaker creates an inviting, comfortable, home-like, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas. The role supports family-style dining by preparing and serving meals, encouraging residents to participate in setting tables and cleaning up, and ensuring residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day. The homemaker also engages residents and helps provide meaningful experiences in the neighborhood.

This is a part-time position at Rushwood in Wichita, Kansas. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
• Obtain criminal clearance.
