About The Position

The Cook prepares food precisely and in a timely manner in accordance with established hotel standards. The role represents the hotel to guests, assists with guest needs, and completes daily duties and assigned projects in accordance with Hulsing Hotels’ principles, policies, and standards. Morning and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of previous experience in a kitchen environment.
• Team-oriented, empathetic, and friendly, with initiative.
• Ability to represent the hotel professionally to hotel guests.
• Morning and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform cooking methods and portion control in accordance with hotel specifications.
• Use kitchen equipment properly and safely, including ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, steam tables, mixers, knives, and slicers.
• Maintain the food line and keep required items stocked and restocked as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cooking equipment during the shift.
• Complete cleaning duties assigned by the supervisor during the shift.
• Notify the supervisor of potential safety hazards and customer complaints.
• Ensure food is handled and stored properly.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Represent the hotel professionally to guests and assist with guest needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
