About The Position

Streets of New York is seeking passionate and skilled Cooks to prepare food and support kitchen operations at its casual pizza restaurant. Cooks prepare menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards, maintain stocked and organized workstations, and help ensure timely service. The role involves collaborating with kitchen staff, supporting inventory management and menu promotions, and maintaining kitchen equipment and sanitation standards. The position may require lifting 50-pound bags of flour and moving boxes of varying sizes and weights containing ingredients.

Requirements

Current Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate.
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items, including 50-pound bags of flour and boxes of varying sizes and weights.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be submitted through E-Verify.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to Streets of New York recipes and quality standards.
Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies.
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with food inventory management and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to support smooth operations and timely service.
Maintain, clean, and properly store equipment and utensils.
Follow sanitation and safety protocols.
Assist with menu item development and special promotions as needed.
