About The Position

Seasonal Cook position preparing pizzas and sandwiches in Sam’s Alley at Schweitzer. The role is suited to positive, outgoing, energetic individuals willing to learn and practice Schweitzer’s culture of hospitality and teamwork while working in a fun, fast-paced environment. Employment may be full time or part time, and the wage range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Idaho Food Safety Certification training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum education required: English reading and writing.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to learn and practice Schweitzer’s culture of hospitality and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Three months of kitchen experience preferred.
• Cooking skills or basic kitchen skills preferred.
• Computer and point-of-sale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble pizzas and sandwiches using kitchen equipment while ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain proper food handling practices, including food storage, rotation, and presentation, in compliance with health codes and kitchen procedures.
• Operate as a cashier when needed, handling basic monetary transactions and providing friendly, efficient guest service.
• Work with the Kitchen Supervisor and team members to support Schweitzer’s culture of hospitality, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
