Controls Lead, Capacity Delivery
About The Position
Fluidstack is seeking a Controls Lead, Capacity Delivery to engineer gigawatts from drawing to energized in months, not years. This role will own technical execution across every build, including drawings, field questions, and engineering calls to keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving. The goal is to engineer data centers that go up in months, not years, where rework is not an option and problems must be caught on paper. The team aims to design it once and build it a hundred times, ensuring every site's lessons roll into the reference design on the way to 50GW+, so each build starts ahead of the last. This role is critical in building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
Requirements
- Led controls engineering for mission critical or industrial facilities.
- Written or owned sequences of operations for complex plants.
- Standardized controls across multiple sites and made integrators comply.
- Knowledge of where controls projects fail, points lists, graphics, alarm floods, and ability to prevent these issues.
Nice To Haves
- Niagara or Ignition experience.
- EPMS platforms experience.
- Controls cybersecurity experience.
- Commissioning automation experience.
Responsibilities
- Own controls engineering across the portfolio: BMS, EPMS, and the integration layer between them.
- Set the controls reference design, architecture, points standards, and sequences, one standard across every site.
- Drive controls contractors and integrators to that standard, reviewing programming before it reaches commissioning.
- Own the controls interface to commissioning automation so Level 4 and 5 testing gets faster every site.
