About The Position

The Consumer Residential Lending Specialist manages lending activities for a small geographic region or portfolio and develops and markets to a network of referral sources to originate loans. The role uses data-driven insights about potential referral sources across a market area to guide outreach and achieve geographic coverage. It focuses on building relationships with integrity, caring, and excellence.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in Mortgage/Consumer Lending.
Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
NMLS license, with the ability to transfer the license to Frost or obtain a license within 60 days.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Advanced knowledge of real estate loan transactions for purchase, home equity, and home improvement loans.

Responsibilities

Initiate and maintain contact with mortgage lenders and brokers, home improvement and pool contractors, real estate agents, and other referral sources to build a network of community partners.
Provide backup and assistance to more senior staff as needed to support excellent customer service.
Work with other departments to ensure loans are closed and processed efficiently and accurately.
Serve as a liaison between branches and the main office, reporting changes in prices and market conditions.
Monitor changes in government regulations and communicate them to staff.
Ensure compliance with Bank policy and applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
