About The Position

As a Consumer Lending Representative at Dupaco, you help members complete the loan process for purchases and home projects. You respond to loan-related questions, process consumer loans and service requests, explain closing documentation, and ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations and Dupaco policies. The role also involves explaining ancillary products, referring members to appropriate services, and helping train employees on loan processing procedures and technology.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
• Outstanding member service skills to provide quality service to members, potential members, and coworkers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adjust communication style to the audience and handle difficult conversations tactfully and professionally.
• Excellent computer skills, including the ability to navigate multiple programs and use dual computer screens.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college or equivalent experience in the financial industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer loan-related member questions by phone and email.
• Process member service requests from branches, including title releases, title changes, and mortgage releases.
• Consult with members during closings and explain loan documentation.
• Process and fund consumer loan products, including auto, personal, and VISA loans.
• Audit loan files for accurate, complete documentation and compliance with regulations and Dupaco Community Credit Union loan policies and procedures.
• Provide payoff quotes for auto, unsecured, and home equity loans.
• Cross-train on Paid Loan Reports and send letters and applicable paperwork to members.
• Explain ancillary products to members and refer them to appropriate products and services.
• Assist in training employees on loan processing procedures and technology.
