About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a customer-facing, sales-oriented Consumer Loan Professional for its branch team. The role involves understanding customers’ financial needs, presenting lending solutions, managing account relationships, and contributing to branch success. The position is suited to someone motivated, coachable, competitive, resilient, and comfortable with outbound sales and challenging customer conversations. The role offers a stated hourly base salary of $20.00–$25.00, plus uncapped incentive bonuses. The employee must be physically present in the office. The schedule is generally Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday hours may be required seasonally and as business needs require. The company may change the schedule to address business needs, and hours depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. The role requires at least one year of sales experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree, outbound calling experience, and experience in lending, consumer loans, or collections are preferred. The employee must be able to obtain any essential state-required licenses. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a sales position.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Highly motivated, with an interest in the consumer finance industry.
Ability to sustain or exceed individual sales goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to leverage and learn new sales platforms and technologies.
Ability to complete functions in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
Ability to obtain any essential licenses required by the state.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, remain professional during challenging conversations, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be physically present in the office.
Ability to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; operate computer and phone systems; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to move about and lift or move up to 20 pounds; close vision and ability to adjust focus are required.

Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to develop business, follow up on opportunities, and support account relationships.
Support branch growth by meeting or exceeding individual and branch performance goals.
Build relationships with current and potential customers through respectful, solution-focused communication.
Consult with customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate lending options.
Process loan applications and gather required credit, income, and financial information.
Present loan solutions and available products clearly, confidently, and compliantly.
Educate customers on loan terms, payment expectations, account requirements, and available services.
Help customers resolve account concerns, make payment arrangements, and stay on track.
Positively impact customer service, credit quality, and branch profitability.
Process payments, maintain accurate records, support cash drawer responsibilities, and assist with daily operations.
Learn applicable federal, state, and local consumer application laws to ensure compliant actions.
Maintain a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
Perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent quality customer service.
