About The Position

The Consumer Lending Sales Associate provides customer service and sales support at an assigned Mariner Finance branch. The role helps customers identify loan options suited to their needs, processes loan applications, reviews customer credit and financial information, and works to resolve delinquent balances. The associate contributes to individual and branch sales goals, follows applicable consumer lending laws, and handles payments and deposits. The position requires physical presence at the branch and may include additional duties based on market demand and staffing.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs, and the ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
• Perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location, except in the event of an emergency as determined by the company in consultation, as necessary, with applicable regulatory agencies.

Nice To Haves

• Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
• Some college coursework.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and enthusiastically presenting available sales products.
• Process credit loan applications.
• Analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers.
• Proactively contact customers with past-due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
• Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to sales of company products and services.
• Learn and follow applicable Federal, State, and Local consumer application laws.
• Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
• Perform additional functions as needed to provide consistent, quality customer service.
