About the position
The Instructional Designer is responsible for building and delivering Configuration and Implementation Courses for the Academy Team. This role requires a combination of expertise about the solution and pedagogy in building content to share that expertise. The key responsibilities include taking ownership of a scope, developing deep functional and technical expertise in the Ivalua Solution, and acting as a trainer on those topics. The ideal candidate should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience in Instructional Design, and experience in Authoring tools such as Camtasia and Adobe Captivate. The position is hybrid, with 3 mandatory days on-site and occasional travels to other offices to develop deeper ties to SME.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a Scope (eg. Payments, Procurement Best Practices, Taxes…).
- Develop deep functional and technical expertise in the Ivalua Solution.
- Interview SMEs and decipher relevant use cases, business cases, and how they are implemented.
- Build and regularly update content to teach and test Certification scope: presentation decks, exercises, video demos, quiz questions, hands-on exam subjects, Adobe simulations, etc., in collaboration with Ivalua R&D teams and Professional Services teams.
- Act as a trainer on those topics
- Lead Q&A sessions (“Office hours”) on scope to support trainees, answer questions and help them learn how to implement Ivalua.
- Correct exams for the scope. The exams are using a scoring script, and this script must be fine-tuned periodically. This requires creating scoring grids and working with an SQLexpert to implement them.
- Monitor the questions that are posted to the Extranet Forum on the scope, provide guidance, or follow up with R&D to get the answers.

- Software configuration hands-on capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Instructional Design.
- Experience in Authoring tools: Camtasia, Adobe Captivate.
- Knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain, Invoicing, Public Sector Procurement, or other Ivalua-relevant domains… on a theoretical level or on a functional level with ability to elaborate theoretically.
- Visual Design Tools (e.g. Adobe Illustrator).
- Experience in LMS administration (we use Docebo).
