Construction Trainee - Paid Training!
About The Position
West Shore Home is hiring a Construction Trainee to assist with safe and effective home improvement installations, following company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols while providing customers with a 5-star experience. The role focuses on bathroom remodeling, including demolition of existing baths or showers and installation of new tubs or shower pans and wall surrounds, with plumbing updates as needed. The workday begins at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, where the trainee loads materials and trucks before traveling to customers’ homes. The trainee builds rapport with customers, completes installation work, cleans the home thoroughly, collects paperwork and payment, and returns to the warehouse. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The approximate pay range is $17–$20 per hour. Paid training is provided.
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or construction, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access required company systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet them, and establish rapport.
- Demolish existing baths or showers and install a new tub or shower pan and wall surround; update plumbing if needed.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols while performing installations.
- Clean up thoroughly and take care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
