About The Position

Securitas is hiring a part-time weekend Security Officer for a construction site in Pleasantville, New Jersey. The position offers Saturday and Sunday shifts of 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., at $18.00 per hour.

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and patrolling the premises, securing entrances, enforcing site regulations and directives, and providing customer service and information to client employees and guests. The role includes identifying and reporting hazards or suspicious activity, de-escalating conflicts, and preparing detailed written witness reports. Candidates should be reliable, accountable, punctual, vigilant, and committed to Securitas’s values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. No prior security experience is necessary, and training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Standard computer and technology skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
• Ability to conduct patrols throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Active New Jersey SORA license or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• Reliability, accountability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience is highly preferred.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality experience is considered a good fit.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Secure entrances and patrol inside and outside the client’s premises, including mobile and foot patrols.
• Interact frequently and professionally with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues and hazardous conditions.
• Report suspicious activity clearly and promptly.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
• Monitor the premises and help enforce site regulations and directives.
