About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment at a construction site in Pleasantville, New Jersey. The role includes actively monitoring and patrolling the premises, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and guests. The position offers two Monday-to-Friday schedules: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Standard computer and technology skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
• Ability to conduct patrols throughout the shift and remain vigilant and attentive to detail.
• Active New Jersey SORA license or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience is highly preferred.
• Background in retail, food service, or hospitality is considered a good fit.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Secure entrances and patrol inside and outside the client's premises, using mobile or foot patrols.
• Interact frequently and professionally with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions.
• Promptly report suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
• Monitor the premises, preserve order, and enforce site regulations and directives.
