About The Position

Securitas is hiring a part-time weekend Security Officer for a construction site in Pleasantville, New Jersey. The position helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and patrolling the premises, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives. Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and guests. The listed weekend shifts are Saturday and Sunday, with available schedules of 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate is reliable, accountable, punctual, and hardworking, and demonstrates Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. Securitas states that no experience is necessary and offers training for candidates entering the security industry.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Standard computer and technology skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
• Ability to conduct patrols throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Active New Jersey SORA license or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience is highly preferred.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Secure entrances and patrol inside and outside the client's premises.
• Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions.
• Report suspicious activity clearly and promptly.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
• Conduct mobile and foot patrols.
• Monitor the premises, preserve order, and enforce applicable site regulations and directives.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
