About The Position

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in Pleasantville, New Jersey, to oversee safety operations on commercial construction projects. The role is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing safety practices, and fostering a culture in which workers return home safely. The position includes overseeing contractors and subcontractors and safety activities related to fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of direct construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in a safety-related field is preferred.
• OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project while ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
• Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
• Oversee fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
