Construction Project Manager - Custom Homes

Invoke Staffing is partnering with a highly respected luxury residential builder to identify an experienced Project Manager who thrives in a client-focused, detail-driven environment. This is an opportunity to lead the construction of high-end custom homes from preconstruction through completion while working alongside a team known for craftsmanship, professionalism, and exceptional client experiences. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of luxury custom home construction, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, client communication, quality control, and project execution. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between homeowners, design teams, field personnel, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience in custom home building, luxury residential construction, or high-end residential renovations.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience working on luxury custom homes valued at $3M+.
- Knowledge of residential estimating and preconstruction processes.
- Familiarity with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar construction management platforms.
- A passion for craftsmanship and quality construction.
- A client-first mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and accountability.
- The ability to navigate challenges while maintaining a positive homeowner experience.
- A collaborative approach that helps teams and projects succeed.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple custom residential construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, homeowners, and trade partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead preconstruction planning, scope reviews, and subcontractor buyout activities.
- Monitor project costs and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Partner closely with Superintendents to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and budget updates to homeowners and leadership.
- Manage selections, allowances, and client-requested changes.
- Ensure projects comply with all applicable building codes and company standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
