About The Position
The Peninsula Chicago is hiring a Concierge to join its Rooms Division and provide guest-focused service at its luxury Five-Star, Five-Diamond property on Michigan Avenue. The role supports Concierge operations, communicates with other departments to create a guest-centric experience, and assists guests with local information, restaurant reservations, ticket procurement, and shipping. The Concierge is expected to follow Peninsula and Forbes standards and ensure effective handovers.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of city points of interest.
- Knowledge of the PMS/Opera system.
- Ability to manage a high level of work demand and pressure.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Must have work authorization in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of Concierge experience in a luxury property is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper operation of all Concierge responsibilities.
- Know and adhere fully to Peninsula and Forbes standards, maintaining consistent performance in accordance with those standards.
- Communicate with all departments to create a guest-centric experience.
- Provide information about city and Peninsula Hotel attractions and points of interest.
- Assist guests with restaurant reservations, ticket procurement, shipping, and other needs.
- Ensure efficient operation of Concierge responsibilities and provide an efficient handover.
