Concession Stand Worker (SoFi Stadium)
About The Position
The Concession Stand Worker provides customer service by selling products and processing electronic payments through a point-of-sale (POS) system in a non-cash venue. The role includes preparing simple menu items, serving food and beverages promptly and in proper portions, and maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work area. Workers are expected to support company service and inventory standards while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented stadium environment. The position requires working stadium events, which may involve extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and working outdoors in all climate conditions. SoFi Stadium Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11; union membership is a condition of employment. Compensation is $22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Must be able to work fluently in English.
- Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10–30 pounds, and occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs or ramps.
- Ability to work all stadium events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Sufficient mobility to perform production tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Must meet state and local food-handler health requirements and hold ServSafe and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare simple menu items.
- Sell items and collect payment using the POS system in a non-cash environment.
- Interact with customers to help ensure customer satisfaction.
- Enter all sales accurately into the POS system.
- Clean up, store product, and remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Serve patrons’ food and beverage orders quickly, in proper portions, and courteously.
- Verify identification for customers ordering alcohol.
- Suggestively sell and upsell items.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Work with co-workers to meet company service standards and inventory procedures.
- Follow safe work habits, safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete required safety training.
- Perform arithmetic operations involving U.S. monetary units.
