Concession Stand Worker (SoFi Stadium)
About The Position
The Concession Stand Worker provides customer service by selling products and processing electronic payments through a point-of-sale system in a non-cash venue. The role involves preparing simple menu items and serving food and beverages promptly and courteously. Workers are assigned to a stadium level and report directly to that level’s Concessions Manager. SoFi Stadium Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment. The role requires working stadium events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and working in an open-air environment in all climate conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to interact with coworkers to support compliance with company service standards.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Must be able to work fluently in English.
- Ability to work in an open-air environment in all climate conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10–30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs or ramps.
- Ability to work all stadium events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Sufficient mobility to perform production tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Must have state and local health requirements for food handlers, ServSafe Certifications, and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification.
- Union membership is a condition of employment under the collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11.
Responsibilities
- Prepare simple menu items.
- Sell items and collect electronic payments through the POS system in a non-cash environment.
- Interact with customers to help ensure customer satisfaction.
- Enter sales accurately into the POS system.
- Clean up, store products, and remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Serve patrons’ food and beverage orders quickly, in proper portions, and courteously.
- Verify identification for customers ordering alcohol.
- Suggestively sell and upsell items.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Interact with coworkers to support compliance with company service standards and inventory procedures.
- Perform arithmetic operations involving United States monetary units.
- Follow safe work habits, safety policies, procedures, and regulations; complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
