About The Position

The Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, the kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils. The role involves washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or with dishwashers; keeping kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly; and transporting food and equipment throughout the venue as needed. The position requires physical activity, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, overhead reaching, and sustained reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling. Stewards must follow safety policies, procedures, and regulations and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training. SoFi Stadium Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Ability to work all venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to reach overhead.
• CA Food Handlers Certification.
• CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
• Union membership is a condition of employment for SoFi Stadium Food and Beverage employees covered by the Unite Here Local 11 collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Wash all china, glass, and silverware.
• Clean all equipment, pots, and pans.
• Store all equipment in proper locations.
• Sweep and mop all floors in the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Transport food and equipment throughout the venue as needed.
• Follow safe work habits, safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific safety training.
