About The Position

AMAX is seeking a skilled Computer Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling computer components, managing inventory through a shop floor system, performing equipment maintenance and repairs, and operating various testing equipment. The technician will be responsible for repairing computer hardware and servers, and providing technical assistance. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school or college diploma
• Electronic or computer industry experience
• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes.
• Know how to handle hand tools and light power tools.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Solid communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to input data into a computer and work with computer screen for long periods of time.
• Standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, bending, squat, reaching with hands and arms.
• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking purpose.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.), where applicable.
• Operate test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary.
